Female WILLIAMS family members can test for mtDNA on the same site. Your mother must have been a WILLIAMS.
Through the FDNA website you can learn your haplotype group and make connections with other members of the family who are related. It appears at this stage that it is far better to test for at least 67 markers. This will result in a far more detailed DNA report and more accurate matches. You can, however, test for 12, 25 or 37 markers.
